I needed some tension rods for curtains in my sewing room as I didn't want to drill holes in the walls or wood trim. I also wanted rods with a smaller diameter. I chose these for both of those reasons. They're super easy to put up--simply extend the rod to a little wider than your window and push up until level. These do come with press-on clear rod holders, but I didn't use them, since I didn't want anything stuck to my trim; however, I'll use them if it turns out that the tension alone won't hold the curtains securely. When I sewed the pocket to hold the rod, I made it about 1/2" larger than the diameter of the rod. What I forgot about was that it needed to also slip over the end grips, which are a larger diameter. Luckily the pockets were large enough, but it's something to keep in mind. Overall, I'm happy with these.
