They were originally meant to hang on curtain rods, but you are able to hang them on the wall using thumbtacks! They are very bright and there are a lot of different color options! Though it doesn’t show up on camera, one of the strings is a different shade than the rest of them. For example, I have my lights set on purple. All of the strings are the same shade of purple except for that one on the very end, which is like a magenta shade. Other than that, I’ve had no problems.The led light strand works wonderful with the USB cable. However I was extremely disappointed that the wall outlet adapter that was show in the diagram and mentioned in the description was not within the box. So now I am on the hunt for a wall outlet adapter. Disappointed in the extra run around for the price of the lights.These lights are perfect for me!! I bought a similar product before but it was made of steel wire and cheaper lights - it was hard to straighten out and adjust. These string lights are made of higher quality plastic and it was soo easily to install. The brightness was also just right - not so bright to blind me, but just enough to show the color. If you're in need of a decorative lighting backdrop that will fully cover a wall, these are a must!!Both of my girls got a set of these for Christmas. Easy to hang IF YOU LEAVE THE INDIVIDUAL STRINGS TIED until you're done hanging the main part.All but one little light work still, the one little light shines a different color than all the rest, and of course is dead center on the set.Pretty bright, the glow can be seen from the street at night.Set these up about a few weeks ago, however on day one, one of the colors turned red. Not sure why, but i know LED lights can do that so ive ignored it. Overall, really good! Matches my own led lights up on my ceiling and i like that for both I can change the colors to match eachother. Had them on the entire time and they hold up.Pros: bright, easy to install, adjustableCons: the hooks are easily broken so be careful if you have cats that might tug at it, however the string can hold itself up.The box is much smaller than anticipated, but it's just that the strings are really slim and we'll packaged. Once you install it, you can cut it the length you want, I personally bundled a few up or down so they are not perfectly aligned from the top, looks cooler that way. I love the different functions, jumping from colors to colors, or multicolor option. I wish I could make it stay that way (multicolor, but not changing), but there is not that option. I plugged it into a smart outlet, so it goes on by itself on a timed schedule. I didn't try the timer from the remote. Makes for a jolly decoration for Christmas!I've only have had these up for a couple of days, so I cant speak on the longevity of them but I will tell you this. They are absolutely gorgeous. Lots of different light options which is what I needed. My only issue is that two of the light stays red/ green no matter what setting I change it to. They were easy to instal. One of the top clips broke but I didn't mind much.I bought last Christmas and i thought it will perfect to our patio door. And I’m right! It is perfect to our patio door especially at night time and main lights are off. Love it! It has different colour of lights and pattern of display of lights. My husband loves it too. It’s very easy to install and with the remote control, very easy to use. Lights are bright enough to make our patio door glow from the outside. This product is of good quality
